Norman Carr established the first photographic safari camp back in 1950, opening up the special Luangwa Valley to many visitors.

Day 1 - London/Lusaka
Depart London-Heathrow for your British Airways flight to Lusaka.

Day 2 - Kapani Lodge
On arrival, fly to Mfuwe where you will be transferred to Kapani Lodge, a wonderful place to spend the first night.

Day 3 - Kakuli Bushcamp
The morning game drive takes you to Kakuli Bushcamp. In the afternoon set out from camp on foot accompanied by your professional guide and an armed escort for your first walking safari.

Day 4 - Kakuli Bushcamp
A full day spent at Kakuli bushcamp, explore the area on foot or by vehicle.

Day 5 - Mchenja Bushcamp
Follow the Luangwa upstream by foot until you reach Mchenja, your home for the next three days. This camp is pure luxury with baths in each tent and a small swimming pool overlooking the Luangwa River.

Days 6 to 7 - Mchenja Bushcamp
Explore the area around Mchenja, by foot or from the comfort of a vehicle.
 
Day 8 - Mchenja/Lusaka
Depart Mchenja for your flight from Mfuwe to Lusaka where you will spend the night.

Day 9 Lusaka/London
Depart Lusaka on British Airways arriving into London in the evening.
