Lower Zambezi , Zambia
A simple camp, and sister camp of Chiawa, Old Mondoro Bush Camp is sited towards the eastern side of the Lower Zambezi National Park in an open area of faidherbia forest. With no electricity, the camp is lit by paraffin lamps and candles which create a wonderfully romantic ambience. Just four en suite bush chalets are made of local pole and thatch construction and set out along a channel of the Zambezi frequented by copious hippo. Activities are focussed around game drives and boating, however with so much activity in or around the camp it isn't necessary to venture far from the lodge.

April - June, when the water levels are at their greatest
The best time to travel is between April and June, there is little to no rain rainfall and the Falls are at their fullest. These are the winter months therefore temperatures will only peak at around 20°C, although days are clear and bright.
