THE HOTEL
Once a private Presidential retreat, Chichele occupies one of the most breathtaking sites in the entire South Luangwa National Park. Since the original structures, built circa 1960, the building has been transformed in recent years to create a spectacular safari lodge, designed to complement its natural surroundings

In order to exploit the wonderful floodplain vistas offered by the site, ten air-conditioned, elegant cottages are built along the edge of the hillside, each providing private panoramic views. Each suite offers en suite facilities and is well equipped with all the little extras you would expect of a lodge of this quality.

The property also boasts a relaxing swimming pool with views the adjacent valley. Meals may be served in a variety of locations - the luxurious indoor dining room or on the scenic veranda and boma area outside. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, driven by qualified, professional guides. Night game drives using spotlights to enable guests to see nocturnal animals such as leopard and spotted hyena. Game walks are also very popular. Children of all ages welcome, children aged 5- 11 years old are only permitted on the game drives at the sole discretion of the lodge manager.
