The newest camp from Sanctuary Retreats offers authentic walking safaris in Zambia; a luxurious base of just four beautifully appointed safari tents from which to explore the pristine wilderness of the South Luangwa with one of the country's most experienced guides - the ultimate bush adventure on foot.
The camp is perched on a sand bank at the confluence of the Luangwa and Chibembe Rivers. The surrounding bush is home to large populations of zebra, elephant, buffalo, crocodile and puku, as well as various endemic species and over 400 bird species. The diversity of habitats here provides some of the most spectacular walking in Africa. It is a seasonal camp which operates from June to October each year; after which it is packed up completely leaving no trace that it was ever there between seasons.
Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with A&K. There was a fascinating mix of location and camp styles and the particular sequence worked very well for us.
