Described as a 'luxury lodge on water', the MV Matusadona offers spacious air-conditioned cabins for up to seven guest;it is the first and only five-star luxury cruiser on Lake Kariba. Known for its sunsets, great fishing (you'll find tiger fish, bream and vundu in its waters) and superb safari opportunities, Lake Kariba is best enjoyed as a safari cruise. From the moment you arrive you'll be invited to relax. Step aboard Matusadona at Marineland and meet the captain and crew and discuss your journey for the days ahead. You'll set off onto Lake Kariba before lunch, mooring in the Sanyati Gorge for your first night. With three full days to explore, each morning after brunch your captain will set sail so that you can relax during the main heat of the day. In the afternoon you can enjoy game viewing or sunset cruises

The UNIVISA system (which allowed travellers to enter both Zimbabwe and Zambia using a dual visa) is currently suspended. If you’re travelling between Zimbabwe and Zambia (more than one entry either way), you should get a double entry visa for both countries. Both Zimbabwe and Zambia issue double entry visas at ports of entry.

Apr-Jun when the water levels are at their greatest at Victoria Falls and large herds of animals can be seen in Hwange National Park.
The best time to travel is between April and June, there is little to no rain and the Falls are at their fullest. These are the winter months therefore temperatures will only peak at around 20°C, although days are clear and bright.
