I have been working in the travel industry for over 20 years, six of which for A&K in the Africa team. My first experience of southern Africa was a trip to Botswana where on one evening I joined a group of researchers conducting a 24-hour elephant watch. After setting up a fly camp and armed with a good pair of night goggles, a notepad and pen, the team osberved the herds that came to drink at the waterhole. The pure excitement and privilege of watching the herds of these majestic creatures, was enough to spark a passion for travel to Africa.
