I’ve been in the travel industry most of my working life. When I’m not booking trips for other people, I am off exploring. I’ve visited 38 countries so far and counting! As we couldn’t travel during lockdown, I bought a campervan and have fallen in love with Wales.
What's your favourite destination?
Italy. I’ve been to Rome, Venice, Bologna, Florence and the Tuscan hills. Italy is full of fascinating history, beautiful architecture and food to die for. I’ll be heading to Milan and the Lakes this summer.
Which destination is top of your bucket list, and why?
I was supposed to go to Bali in 2020 for a yoga festival, but COVID scuppered my plans.
How many languages do you speak?
Only English fluently, but I do know basic French and German.
Which five items do you always pack when travelling?
A couple of card games (UNO and Monopoly Deal are firm favourites)
Factor 30 Suncream
Sunglasses with UV protection
What's your top travel tip?
Arrange for a guide to show you around the first day you arrive – to help get your bearings, and to give you the history of the sites you are seeing.
Discover the best spots for sunrise & sunset, and if you’re staying in a remote area be sure to stay up late and check out the stars.
