About Sarah

Travelling the world from a very young age has greatly influenced my passion for culture, people and discovering new places.

I have travelled extensively, but I have never lost my wanderlust. This led me to join Abercrombie & Kent in 2007, after working and living in the US. Fast forward a few years and I now have three young children so I’m always on the lookout for new adventures. Our family team hunts constantly for hidden gems, unique family-friendly experiences and the chance to create unforgettable memories. Our favourite family hotel is The Westin Resort Costa Navarino in Greece. From the huge sun canopy over the baby pool to the incredible water park, this place is perfect for toddlers to teens. And if you’re like us and love exploring the country and mixing with the locals it provides a fantastic base to discover the beautiful Peloponnese.

Talking points

What’s your top tip for keeping children entertained on a long journey?

A backpack of their own full of books, small toys and sticker books. Mine is full of snacks

Do you prefer a villa, or hotel for a family holiday?

We love a good family friendly hotel – my children love nothing more than meeting others their ages

How do I satisfy the holiday needs of a pre-schooler?

I think it’s important to take every day slow and not pack too much in – try and plan ahead as much as you can. I always try and remember to let my children explore as much as they possibly can – for them this is the first time they will see some things, so I need to let them enjoy that.

What is your advice to parents travelling with a young baby?

Always take Calpol with you, never be without nappy cream, baby wipes and a muslin and phone ahead to the places you are staying to see if they have essentials like a steriliser, cots, highchair, etc

Where can I get the best ice-cream?

Sicily without a doubt
