About Vicki

My passion for travel started at a very young age. I had always dreamt of seeing the world and have been lucky enough to travel extensively through Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States.

After starting a family in 2017, I have learnt how to travel with children and love sharing my experiences with my clients. For example, when travelling with a baby try to relax routines which could help with meal times and jet lag.

The USA is a fantastic family destination with every state offering something for all ages from the awesome Grand Canyon to the Florida Keys and natural wonder of the geysers at Yellowstone Park.

Talking points

What’s your top tip for keeping children entertained on a long journey?

Pack an iPad loaded with the favourite films because sometimes the in-flight entertainment isn’t up to the job

How old should a child be to get the most from a safari?

If you want to spot grizzly bear, then the minimum age is eight but I would strongly recommend from 12 years to ensure interest and understanding

How do I satisfy the holiday needs of a teenager, a ten-year-old and a pre-schooler?

Go for a resort style holiday so that teenagers can have more freedom

How do you recommend helping the excitement for a holiday build beforehand/help children remember the holiday afterwards? E.g. Journals, photo book, etc

Sign up to social media feeds for the places they are visiting so they can get a feel for the destination and what to expect

Any other top family related travel tips?

If you are travelling with a baby, board the plane last, rather than hurrying to get on first. People will wait until you are sorted out. Then relax about your routines - these will slot back into place when you return home. Sit back and make the most of your family adventure
