After graduating from the University of Nottingham, itchy feet prompted me to defer a graduate scheme in order to pursue a lifelong dream of travelling. After several fascinating months in Asia, I discovered South America, and realised it was the destination I'd been searching for. Starting in Rio de Janeiro for Carnival, highlights included trekking in Patagonia, exploring the Amazon rainforest and rappelling waterfalls in Colombia. The sheer diversity of this continent with its beautiful landscapes, incredible wildlife and vibrant cultures all came together to ignite my passion for Latin America. This time in South America truly caught my imagination and eventually bought me to Abercrombie & Kent. Since the first trip to South America, I have returned to explore destinations such as Central America (including the Darien), Antarctica and most recently the Galapagos with A&K – now using this specialist knowledge to help others enjoy this truly special region of the world.
