Stop to indulge in a sundowner at a sheltered bay before you head for the Whale Coast, to the east of Cape Town. Between June and November you can catch whales in their natural habitat and enjoy the numerous pockets of fynbos - the unique flora of the region. Walk along the golden sands of Plettenberg Bay, marvel at the clear, blue waters of Knysna Lagoon and stroll through the forests of Tsitsikamma.
