About Minshuku Shirakawa-go
Minshuku Shirakawa-go is a gassho-zukuri minshuku, or traditional farmhouse inn, located in the village of Shirakawa-go. With just five rooms, an overnight stay here guarantees an authentic, intimate experience within a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Every room in this guesthouse includes sliding doors, paper walls and futons. Enjoy meals served in an irori (a traditional sunken hearth used for cooking and keeping warm) and made from fresh, local ingredients.
Walk outside of this Edo-era property and explore Shirakawa-go, a village rich in tradition. You can easily catch a connecting bus between Furusato and Shirakawa-go from the village’s station.
