UK - Bangkok

Take an overnight flight from London to Bangkok to maximise your time in the city. We’ll meet you off your flight and take you to your hotel.

The vibrant city of Bangkok is the gateway to Southeast Asia. At once dynamic, historic and spiritual, the city is home to a unique blend of old and new. During your time in Bangkok, you’ll stay in The Anantara, a stylish riverside retreat in the heart of the action.

See another side of Thailand with a trip to Samut Songkhram province, southwest of the capital. On the way, stop at unique country markets to shop for souvenirs and see how vendors cope with the passing trains. You’ll also visit the riverside town of Amphawa. Known for its floating markets, it’s the perfect place to experience rural Thailand. After lunch, take a stroll through the pretty orchards of King Rama II Memorial Park.

A private guide will show you the best of Bangkok today.  As well as visiting spectacular sites like the ornate Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, you’ll see a lesser-known side of the city. After the expert tour, there’ll be time to explore Bangkok independently. Visit Wat Pho and its gigantic golden Buddha, haggle at the markets of Chinatown or observe canal-side life on a boat trip through Thonburi.

Bangkok - Chiang Mai

Today you’ll swap Thailand's energetic capital for its tropical jungle hub. You’ll take a short flight to Chiang Mai, the perfect base for exploring the country's lush, hilly north. Spend the afternoon recharging your batteries at the Anantara Chiang Mai Resort.

Chiang Mai

There’s an expert guide on hand today to show you the delights of Chiang Mai. You can take a rickshaw ride around the old town, visiting the 14th-century temple of Wat Phra Singh. Then head up to Wat Doi Suthep, northern Thailand's holiest shrine. End the day by taking in the evening view over Chiang Mai with its millions of glittering lights.

Chiang Mai

After a quick stop at the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, it’s time to head for the Elephant Training Camp. At the camp you’ll learn to be a traditional elephant keeper known as a mahout. Your elephant trainer will show you how to care for these gentle giants, as you enjoy exclusive access to the animals. Feast on a lunch of local specialities before heading back to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai

It’s time to say goodbye to the jungle, elephants and northern Thailand today. We’ll take you to the airport for an internal flight back to Bangkok and your onward connection to London.
