Untold Asia

Explore the magical rhythms which span South-east Asia. Travel by luxury train, boat, bike or simply walk barefoot on your private beach. Cruise the khlongs (canals) of Bangkok before cycling through its verdant hills. Watch the world go by as you relax in your colonial-style cabin on board the Eastern & Oriental Express. Stay in Singapore’s iconic Raffles Hotel and marvel at the landscape of skyscrapers and botanical gardens. Watch the sun rise at Angkor Wat before meeting Cambodia’s artisans in Siem Reap. Catch your breath on your own tropical island.

UK – Bangkok

Maximise your time in South-east Asia by taking an overnight flight from the UK.

Arrive Bangkok

Enjoy an early check-in at The Siam Hotel after your transfer from the airport. Relax in this luxurious urban oasis, designed by Bill Bensley, before heading on a tour to cruise Bangkok’s ancient canals by longtail boat. Known as the “Venice of the East” during the 19th-century, the waterways, known as khlongs, buzz with vessels criss-crossing the Thai capital.

Join your A&K guide for an exhilarating 25-kilometre cycle ride exploring the ‘green lung’ of this vibrant city. Pedal through a maze of canals and deep jungles picking up refreshments on the way. Following lunch at the hotel, you’ll be transferred to Hua Lamphong station to board your private cabin on the Eastern & Oriental Express. Dinner is served in one of the luxurious dining carriages.

Riding the Eastern & Oriental Express

Alight to Kanchanaburi for your choice of three tours. Historians can visit the Bridge over the River Kwai and Thai Burma Railway Museum. Cyclists can hop on a bike and ride through rice paddies. Foodies can take part in a cookery class on a raft cruise. Toast another memorable day with an aperitif in the observation carriage before dinner.

Riding the Eastern & Oriental Express

Start your day with breakfast in bed. On arrival at Kuala Kangsar, a coach will take you to Labu Kabong village for a welcome ceremony. Explore the rice paddies with a tour guide or join our naturalist for an invigorating hill-trek to take in the panoramic views. Re-join the train for a cocktail and live piano music before your final dinner.

A Singapore Sling in the Long Bar of the newly restored Raffles Hotel awaits your arrival. Your A&K guide will transfer you to this iconic hotel from the station. After lunch, enjoy your first taste of Asia’s shimmering Lion City. Join our tour to explore this vibrant city-state which has been shaped by a mix of Chinese, Malay, Tamil and British influences.

Enjoy a full day discovering some of the most iconic locations in Singapore with your guide. Explore the futuristic Gardens by the Bay, the serene National Orchid Garden and ride on the world's largest observation wheel, the Singapore Flyer. Look out towards Singapore River where Sir Stamford Raffles docked back in 1819. Return to the hotel, named in his honour, for afternoon tea.

Today is yours to explore Singapore at your own pace, or simply relax in style. Early birds could enjoy a trek through a nature reserve to the city’s highest peak, Bukit Timah Hill. Culture lovers can admire South-east Asian art in the historic City Hall and Old Supreme Court buildings. Head to Orchard Road to browse the boutiques before stopping for a bowl of spicy noodle soup.

Siem Reap, Cambodia

After a direct flight you will arrive in the charming city of Siem Reap in Cambodia, known as the “Gateway to Angkor”. You’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can relax. A traditional tuk tuk will pick you up in the evening for a fine dining tour of the best kitchens in the city run by the country’s top chefs.

Siem Reap

Rise early to view the sunrise over the iconic temple of Angkor Wat. Head out with your guide to explore the magnificent architecture of this religious site. After a relaxed lunch, embark on a tour of Siem Reap’s Ethical Artisans with our curator. Meet artists, fashion designers and photographers putting Cambodia on the map. Browse the boutiques of tree-lined Kandal Village before stopping in a café.

Koh Krabey Island, Cambodia

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Siem Reap’s domestic airport for your flight to Sihanoukville. On arrival you will be greeted and taken by shared shuttle and speedboat to the exotic resort of Six Senses Krabey Island. This private setting of verdant jungles, pristine beaches and cerulean ocean is the perfect place to reconnect and relax.

Koh Krabey Island, Cambodia

You have three idyllic days to spend in barefoot luxury. Once you have dozed by your private pool, you may want to explore more of this tropical paradise. Try snorkelling or stand-up paddleboarding before visiting the organic farm and relaxing in the Six Senses Spa. Watch the sun set from the horizon lap pool and stargaze from the sky observatory.

Depart Cambodia

Feeling refreshed, hop aboard the resort’s speedboat for a 10-minute ride back to Sihanoukville. You’ll be met by A&K’s guide who will transfer you by private car to the capital Phnom Penh for your flight home.
