Bungle Bungles

Let’s get going. Purnululu National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to the Bungle Bungle Range. There are few more fascinating geological landscapes in Australia. On a two-hour leisure flight you’ll have ample opportunity to gaze down in awe and wonder at the the staggering mountains reflected in Lake Argyle.

Kununurra - Berkeley River

You’ll take to the air again today, this time in a floatplane that will soar high above the dramatic Kimberley coastline. Craggy rocks, sheer escarpments and stately boab trees dot the snaking Berkeley River. Gliding back to Earth you’ll arrive at the Berkeley River Lodge. Wind down with a gentle bush trek to explore secluded beaches and nearby rivers.

Spend a day with your skipper expertly navigating the tranquil Berkeley river system. Hike into gorges, swim in secluded waterholes, cast a fishing line or simply snap photographs of the native flora and fauna. As your day draws to a close, absorb the famous Kimberley sunset with cocktails at the lodge.

Today is yours to enjoy as you wish. Grab your guide and head out on a bush walk to discover the river bank wildlife. Take a beach tour in a 4x4, or relax with a laidback fishing trip. For something a little more thrilling, we can highly recommend an exhilarating heli-picnic to a remote site renowned for its ancient rock art.

Berkeley River - El Questro

Hop in another floatplane to Kununurra before driving to the El Questro homestead. This offers spectacular views of the Cockburn Range. After lunch, seek out wallaby and crocodile on a cruise through the Chamberlain Gorge. Come afternoon, you’ll head to the thermal Zebedee Springs. Relax in the balmy waters, surrounded by Livistona palms, sheer cliffs and waterfalls. Returning at dusk, you’ll dine under the stars in true outback style.

El Questro

Today, you can choose from a variety of activities or simply relax by the pool. Head out boating on the river, visit some local rock art sites, enjoy a horse trek or fish for barramundi and threadfin salmon. On your final evening, enjoy a farewell dinner, once again beneath Western Australia’s incomparable star-studded skies.
