About Schloss Fuschl, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

This 5* fairy-tale chateau is situated on a peninsula in Lake Fuschl at gateway to the Salzkammergut, just 20 minutes from Salzburg. It was built in 1450 as a hunting lodge and used as the summer residence of the archbishops of Salzburg.

There are 110 elegant and stylishly furnished rooms and suites: each of which is its own unique piece of art. Opt for the peace of an individually and discreetly designed chalet on the lake, the warmth of your own sauna, the crackling in the fireplace and your own terrace with private access to the lake.

Dine on the lake terrace of the Schloss Restaurant and savour the fresh caught fish all washed down with Austrian wines.

The Fuschlseee is one of the cleanest bathing lakes in Austria and offers a wide variety on active options to be explored. For peaceful hours on the lake during summer there are romantic wooden rowing boats or alternatively, boats with an electric motor, called "Zille", waiting in the boathouse to be hired for a few hours with a picnic in tow.
