About Gran Meliá Rome

Gran Meliá Rome is located in the heart of the historic Gianicolo district, renowned as one of the most attractive sightseeing areas in the city. A short work will take you to Trastevere, the Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona. Unsurprisingly, the area has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its abundance of historic buildings. This museum-hotel has a strong commitment to its cultural heritage and during your stay you will find many archaeological relics and artefacts, including a large marble sculpture depicting the head of Agrippina in the hotel's grand reception.

Despite its location in the heart of the ancient city, the hotel's grounds are vast, set in an impressive two acres of landscaped gardens known as the Garden of Eden in the centre of the city. All 116 rooms and suites at the Gran Meliá have one thing in common - they are flooded with natural light through expansive windows. Choose from a selection of Deluxe, Premium, Supreme and Grand Premium Rooms, some with city views or private garden, or opt for a room or suite on the luxurious RedLevel floors; these rooms are particularly plush and have access to a number of exclusive service. Some have private terraces and hydromassage spas, but our favourite is the Eternal City Suite with its classical elegance and views of the Vatican dome from the expansive outdoor terrace.

The peaceful grounds feature a large outdoor swimming pool and chic Liquid Garden pool bar. When it comes to dining, Vivavoce restaurant serves up a local treats paying homage to the regions heritage, while the elegant Library is perfect for an afternoon tea. Nectar Bar shakes fabulous cocktails while Lunae Terrace is perfect for celebrations.
