About Renaissance Malmo Hotel
Renaissance Malmö is the first Marriot hotel to open in Sweden, located in the heart of the historic city centre just off Lilla Torg, one of the city's main attractions. Moments from Stortorget, Malmö Central Station and the excellent restaurants of the old quarter, the hotel affords excellent views over the rooftops of Malmö's pretty buildings and is the ideal base for exploring Malmö and its attractions, such as the HSB Turning Torso, St Peter's Church, Malmöhus Castle and Västra hamnen, a former industrial district now known as the City of Tomorrow - one of the first carbon-neutral urban areas in Europe.
Built around an attractive central courtyard, the hotel is modern and contemporary whilst still incorporating original features of the older building. All 128 spacious and air-conditioned rooms have flat screen televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi. The décor is bright and fresh, with sumptuous fabrics, smart bathrooms and beautiful carved furniture with a twist on Scandinavian design. The Renaissance offers three room types: Deluxe rooms are cosy but perfect for shorter breaks, Prestige rooms are spacious and full of natural light, while the Rosen Suite spreads across 60m² with a private living area.
The hotel is also home to one of Malmö's finest restaurant and bars, Rosen, which serves Scandinavian-influenced dishes for lunch and dinner, with a stylish selection of Afternoon Tea and a breakfast brunch that's popular with locals thanks to its wide selection of buffet options and eggs made to order. Also on site is an American restaurant and a fitness studio, with golf courses, swimming pools and a spa located a short distance away. Because of its location the hotel is the ideal base to begin a trip around Sweden, and is a mere thirty minute train ride from Copenhagen, ideal for a day trip or a longer break.
