Indian Tiger Safari Holidays 2024/2025

For those in search of tiger, our tiger safaris in India offer the chance to see this elusive creature in the wild. And, of course, we ensure you safari in style. In three of India's most secluded and unspoiled reserves tigers prowl and your experienced guides have years of experience tracking them. You’ll stay in deluxe tented camps as you enjoy game drives in the tropical deciduous forests of Pench National Park. In the jungles of Kanha National Park you’ll seek out big cat and endangered deer. Your Indian tiger safari ends in Bandhavgarh, home to India’s highest density of tiger. Invest in a new camera because you’ll find few better ways to capture stunning close ups of the stately tiger.

UK - Mumbai

Depart on a flight from London Heathrow. Your destination is Mumbai, the gateway to India and the start of your Indian tiger safari.

Mumbai - Nagpur - Pench

We’ll meet you after a short onward flight to Nagpur for a scenic drive through the countryside. As the forest thickets become more dense the stream-dotted jungles of Pench National Park take over. Settle in for a well-earned welcome dinner at the Jamtara Wilderness Camp where ten deluxe tents hide away the amid exotic trees and haunting cries of wildlife.

Pench

Pench is one of India's premier tiger parks, with a healthy population of big cat. However, there’s plenty more creatures roaming amid its teak trees and dry riverbeds. Keep your eyes peeled for leopard, Indian wild dog and an exquisite array of birdlife. Early morning and late afternoon game drives will maximise your chance of sightings.

Pench - Kanha

Rise early for a final morning game drive, before heading to Kanha National Park. This is another excellent location for spotting flame-striped tiger among the dense trees. For the next two nights you can choose between two hotels. The elegant riverside Banjaar Tola or the intimate, cottages at the Flame of the Forest Lodge.

Kanha

The sweeping sal forests and meadows in Kanha are as beguiling as the wildlife. The National Park forms the core of the Tiger Reserve, created by Project Tiger in 1974. The project’s landmark achievement is its rescue of rare barasingha swamp deer from extinction. Two days of intrepid game drives await. With help from an expert guide, you could spot tiger, leopard, langur monkey, Indian bison and the rare deer.

Kanha - Bandhavgarh

Admittedly, it’s a fair drive to Bandhavgarh, but the journey is worth every second. Home to one of the highest big cat populations in India, its remote location makes it one of the best places on Earth to spot tiger in the wild. Here you can stay in a chic kutiya (jungle hut) at Mahua Kothi or in a tranquil villa at romantic Samode Safari Lodge.

Bandhavgarh

Bandhavgarh was originally the private hunting reserve of the Maharaja of Rewa. Today, it remains utterly unspoilt. Game drives will reveal the varied and abundant birdlife as well as mammals such as leopard, barking deer and wild oxen. Of course, tiger is why you’re here. And they are here too. Let’s see how many we spot.

Bandhavgarh - Delhi

With a camera packed with pictures, enjoy one last breakfast in the Indian bush. Say your farewells and head to Jabalpur for a flight to Delhi. You’ll spend your last night in style at the Oberoi or Trident, both in Gurgaon. Both hotels offer comfort and spa treatments and are perfectly placed for the airport.

Delhi - UK

Relaxed, rejuvenated and with some unforgettable adventures under your belt, it’s time to head home. Depart in the morning for your return flight to London. You’ve earned your stripes!
