About Kantishna Roadhouse
Located among the unspoilt wilderness of Denali National Park, Kantishna Roadhouse features 30 rooms in comfortable cabins that area spread out across the attractive, landscaped grounds. Set along the shores of Moose Creek, the traditional cabins have little porches and rustic décor with large beds and private bathrooms – everything you need for exploring the park in comfort. Due to its location there is no radio, televisions or mobiles or Wi-Fi, so it’s the perfect chance to unplug and get back to nature.
Excursions include daily hikes in various levels of difficulty, photography tours of Mt McKinley, gold panning, botany walks and mountain biking. The activities desk contains maps, schedules and information on guided hikes so you can direct yourself around the park. There are two dining rooms with roaring fireplaces and lovely views of Moose Creek. Little Johnnie’s Saloon is the only bar in Kantishna, serving a wide range of drinks including Alaskan beers. There’s also a library with puzzles and games and a separate gift shop.
