Fly overnight to Buenos Aires.
We’ll meet you from your flight and drive you to your hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires. In the afternoon your private guide will introduce you to some of the city’s most attractive sights. You’ll have the chance to see the Palermo Chico and Soho districts, the Teatro Colon Opera House and Recoleta cemetery, burial place of some of the most influential Argentinians.
You have a full day to explore more of the city at your own pace. You could enjoy a private wine-tasting at an exclusive wine cellar. If you’re feeling especially hungry, we can arrange a day trip to a nearby estancia (ranch) so you can try a traditional asado lunch, which is the traditional (and very generous) Argentine version of a barbecue.
Today you fly to Mendoza, gateway to one of Argentina's main wine-growing areas. It’s in a picturesque location in the foothills of the high Andes mountains. Take an afternoon guided tour of Mendoza before continuing on to a wine lodge set amid the vines.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Catena Zapata Vineyard, one of Argentina's most revered producers of Malbec. The winery has been in the same family since Italian immigrant Nicola Catena founded it in 1902. Its design was inspired by Mayan architecture, as you’ll see by its pyramid shape.
Relax at your hotel or take an excursion to the city of Mendoza. You can learn about the history of wine in the region by visiting the National Wine Museum, which is south of the city. Revel in the clean fresh air of the Andes by visiting a high mountain estancia.
Fly to Salta and drive through the dramatic, colourful landscape of Las Conchas Gorge to El Esteco Vineyard and the Grace Cafayate.
Today is yours to enjoy the breathtaking surrounding area or relax by the pool or in the hotel's spa.
Drive along the Calchaqui Valley to La Merced del Alto, a beautiful hotel just a short distance from the pretty colonial town of Cachi.
Spend the day at your leisure, or venture into Cachi to shop for local crafts and visit the small museum. Your hotel has an excellent wine cellar offering wine-tasting of some of the premium vintages from the Calchaqui Valley and its high-altitude wineries.
Drive to Salta through Los Cardones National Park with its giant cacti. In Salta, enjoy a guided tour of the city and the summer village of San Lorenzo before heading out of town to the House of Jasmines. This faithfully restored traditional farmstead offers cosy rooms and home cooking.
Fly to Buenos Aires and say farewell to Argentina at the Esquina Carlos Gardel tango show, where you can watch some of the best tango in Argentina over a delicious dinner.
