Highlights of Argentina

This Argentina holiday introduces you to some of the country’s most compelling sights. Discover the European and Latin flavours that make Buenos Aires, the capital, such an alluring city. You can live like a gaucho as you ride and unwind at a traditional estancia on our tailor-made Argentina tours. For an unforgettable experience, gaze down upon the thundering Devil's Throat Gorge at the Iguazu Falls.

UK - Buenos Aires

Maximise your time by flying overnight to Buenos Aires, the seductive city that never sleeps. You'll wake up to a dizzying grid of colourful balconied barrios, wide tree-lined boulevards and noble architecture. Explore the city’s quaint neighbourhoods full of romantic restaurants and cafés.

Buenos Aires

Today you can take in the city’s charms at your own pace. Potter through the sprawling antiques market in San Telmo or the chic shops in Recoleta, sampling the huge range of cafes along the way. Stroll through the calm and beautiful Botanical Gardens before checking out the Latin American art in the audaciously designed MALBA. Afterwards, lose yourself in Recoleta's sprawling cemetery of 6,400 mausoleums.

Buenos Aires

Your expert guide will be on hand to show you the sights today. Beginning at the city's heart in the Plaza de Mayo, you’ll see the Argentinian president's office, from where Eva Peron made her famous balcony appearances. Discover the country's fascinating history told through its heady mix of architectural styles before finishing in buzzing La Boca. Here, colourful street art is the backdrop for pavement tango and artisan stalls.

Buenos Aires - Estancia Country

You don't need to travel far from the city along sun-dappled roads to get a glimpse into rural gaucho life. Your destination is a traditional cattle ranch, known as an estancia. Lunch here is an asado, the Argentine version of a barbecue. Afterwards, take a dip in the pool or perhaps watch a polo game. You could take a ride with the cowboys themselves or just laze on the lawn.

Estancia Country

Hide away for two days in your charming estancia. You can relax among the tree-lined avenues and explore the pampas with the gauchos as they take the horses down to the riverbanks to cool off. After watching the sunset, visit a traditional gaucho drinking den known as a pulperia or feast on succulent beef. If you’re feeling energetic, saddle up a pony and take a polo lesson.

Estancia Country - Iguazu

Straddling two countries, with more than 250 cascades, Iguazu is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. It’s surrounded by a subtropical rainforest that’s home to more than 2,000 species of plants. It's a short transfer from the airport to your hotel on the Argentine side of the falls, where your neighbours are giant anteater, howler monkey, shy ocelot and rare jaguar.

Today you’ll visit Devil’s Throat Gorge, a vast gaping chasm in the rock. From your thundering lookout point, it's possible to see the hundreds of cascades that make up this extravagant complex. The journey is almost as thrilling as the destination as you swing down catwalks. You’ll have the entire day to explore the falls with an expert naturalist guide.

Iguazu - Sao Paulo - UK

Your tailor-made Argentina tour comes to an end today. We’ll take you to the airport where you can board a short connecting flight to Sao Paulo and then directly back to the UK.
