UK - Lima

Arrival in Lima and transfer to your hotel.

Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley

After breakfast, take the short flight to Cusco and continue to the Sacred Valley. On the way, visit Awanakancha, a centre where South American camelids are bred. Here you’ll meet the continent’s iconic characters such as the llama, alpaca, guanaco and vicuna. Learn about the renowned fibres their coats produce, as well as the ancient weaving techniques still practised to this day.

Sacred Valley

Today set out to visit an Andean highland community of Quechua-speaking farmers and weavers. Enter the village kitchens and witness a demonstration of their textile techniques and designs. After a short walk, accompanied by the melodic sounds of flute and drum, explore the world of Andean agriculture, as vital today as it was in Incan times. Your Quechua hosts will show you how they farm here and invite you to bless the land with them.

Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Take the Vistadome train to the lost city of Machu Picchu, and enjoy a light lunch served onboard. Accompanied by your expert guide, explore the ruins and learn what’s known of the lives of the priests, craftsmen and servants who once resided here. Overlooking the Urubamba River from atop a mountain, this spiritual site will forever keep the secret of its destruction since the Incas left no written record. Transfer to your Cusco hotel in the evening.

Cusco

Explore the beautiful city of Cusco, from the Incan foundations to the colonial quarters. Your walking tour will take you to well-known sites such as the stunning Cathedral on Plaza de Armas. Uncover the Koricancha temple, the Incas' principal religious building, dedicated to the worship of the sun. The story continues with foreign invasion and inevitable architectural innovation as two cultures combined, seen in the distinctly Mediterranean appearance of certain boulevards.

Cusco - Lima - Salta

Enjoy a day to relax at your luxury hotel or explore a little more of Cusco before an overnight flight to Salta in Argentina.

Salta

Embark on a private sightseeing tour of Salta, where Hispanic architecture prevails. See the colonial touches which adorn the houses, narrow streets and centenarian monuments. Visit San Francisco Church, San Bernardo Convent and Church, and MAAM Archaeology Museum of High Altitude. Continue towards San Lorenzo, an exquisite summer village. Its microclimate combines exuberant vegetation, fresh air and clear water, as well as historical and natural heritage..

Cafayate - Cachi

Leave Salta for a three-day tour of northern Argentina, first heading to Cachi. Drive to Escoipe Gorge for a short trek through the Valley Hideaways, before a chance to climb Cuesta del Obispo for its wonderful panoramic views. Here the landscape changes as tall and elegant cacti welcome you to Los Cardones National Park.

Cachi - Cafayate

After breakfast, depart for Cafayate through the scenic Quebrada de las Flechas gorge. You’ll pass through beautiful villages such as Senclatás, Molinos and San Carlos. On arrival in your Cafayate wine hotel, enjoy an incredible wine-country experience as you visit nearby vineyards to taste Torrontes wines from original stocks.

Cafayate - Salta - Buenos Aires

After a relaxed morning to explore the vineyard, leave Cafayate behind as you head for the capital, stopping off at amazing rock formations such as the Anfiteatro. Your journey takes you through the breath-taking Quebrada de las Conchas gorge, characterised by intense colours. Continue to Salta Airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires - UK

Spend your final day in South America exploring the exciting city of Buenos Aires. Visit Alvear Avenue, home to some of the most exclusive buildings, hotels and boutiques in town, before seeing the Brazilian Embassy, an impressive architectural marvel. Stop by Nuestra Senora del Pilar Church and the Recoleta Cemetery, known for the famous characters from Argentine history buried among the monuments and mausoleums. Afterwards, you’re transferred to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
