    Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    Flying from Entebbe to the Rift Valley, you’ll drive into the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This dense swathe of mountainous rainforest is a haven of biodiversity. The rich habitat here harbours chimpanzee, baboon, elephant and some 300 bird species, For most visitors the park’s population of endangered mountain gorilla is understandably the main attraction.

    Tracking mountain gorillas

    Over the next few days, experienced and knowledgeable guides lead you out into the rainforest in search of gorilla families. You’ll be mesmerised by these immensely powerful, yet surprisingly graceful, primates. Watch silently through parted leaves as they feed and groom each other, just a short distance away from you. With the family’s babies playing in the undergrowth the dominant silverback male keeps a careful eye out. But no-one could be watching more intently than you.
