Cape Lodge Margaret River | Meals: Dinner
Distance: 170 miles | Driving time: approx. 3hrs

Day 2 Margaret River
Margaret River is one of the world's greatest fine wine regions, so see it in style: sit back as a private guide chauffeurs you between wineries in a classic car. Stroll through the vineyards, learning about production from your own private consultant, and meet the winemakers for an exclusive barrel tasting. There's a chance to sample local olive oils too, or clear your head on an illuminating bushwalk with a local Wardandi Aboriginal guide.
Cape Lodge Margaret River | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 3 Margaret River / Pemberton

Drive to Pemberton, tracing the glorious coast of Cape Leeuwin where the Indian Ocean and Great Southern Ocean meet -and passing mighty karri forest; the brave can climb the 72m-high Gloucester Tree for unbeatable bush views. In Pemberton, retreat to the Silkwood Chalets, an intimate clutch of four architect-designed cabins nestled between the lake and the woods.
Silkwood Chalet | Meals: Breakfast
Distance: 90 miles | Driving time: approx. 2hrs

Day 4 Pemberton

Pemberton is famed for its wonderful produce, from Pink Lady apples and creamy avocados to green tea and rare black truffles. Try your luck on a truffle tour, or work up an appetite with a wild bushwalk, a canoe trip or a refreshing swim.
Silkwood Chalet | Meals: Breakfast

Day 5 Pemberton / Albany

The drive along Western Australia's wild southern coast is unrelentingly spectacular all the way to Albany, not least at the Valley of the Giants, a den of unique, 40m-high red tingle trees. Here, take to the unique Tree Top Walk to view the forest from up in the canopy.
The Beach House at Bayside | Meals: Breakfast
Distance: 150 miles | Driving time: approx. 2hrs 45mins

Day 6 Albany
The waves that hit the rugged cliffs and white-sand beaches around Albany come straight from Antarctica, which gives an inkling of how untamed this remote shore is. Spend a day reveling in the region's natural beauty, looking out for local wildlife, and pay a visit to Australia's last whaling station now transformed into Whale World. Here, history comes alive: take a tour through the whaling industry, visit the restored station and hop aboard a chaser ship to imagine what life must have been like on board.
The Beach House at Bayside | Meals: Breakfast

Day 7 Albany / Perth
Linger over the drive back to Perth, pausing amid the rugged mountains and vibrant flora of Stirling National Park. For the best leg-stretch, climb to the top of Bluff Knoll - one of WA's highest peaks; it's a steep haul but the rewards are cool air and panoramic views across one of Australia's wildest corners.
Distance: 260 miles | Driving time: approx. 4hrs 30mins
