The Cayes

The Cayes of Belize's northern coast are attractive, relaxing, slow and 'Caribbean' in style. Ambergris Caye is the most northerly and by far the largest of the  Cayes. It is 25 miles long and runs parallel to Belize's magnificent barrier reef. The only town is San Pedro which started as a fishing town named after Saint Peter but is now a bustling tourist center. From here guests can enjoy a variety of snorkeling and diving trips, sailing, fishing, windsurfing or merely relax on the white sand enjoying the beautiful blue waters. For guests on a beach only holiday you can also book trips to the mainland to visit sites such as Lamanai Site, Belize Zoo and other activities such as the famous cave tubing! To arrive at the island is a quick 20min flight from Belize City across the azure waters of the Caribbean.
