1. Grace Santorini
The idea of being separated from technology is enough to make some people panic. If you’re too nervous to disconnect for an entire holiday then why not start off slowly and try a three night digital detox package at the Grace Santorini? Guests are encouraged to surrender their digital devices upon check in, and all of the electronics are removed from the villas upon request. Your personal chef will create a detoxifying menu to your taste to ensure that your days unplugged are also spent cleansing your body. Here you can hang out in the infinity pool absorbing the Aegean sunsets after a private meditation or yoga class to reinvigorate your spirit. The Grace was on the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2012 for Best Location in Europe, and it still lives up to the title.
A 4 day trip to Santorini costs from £2,160pp*

2. Siwash Lake Ranch
There is something to be said for the ‘simpler days’ where electricity was a new-fangled invention and cars were only imaginary. Of course we wouldn’t send you somewhere without hot water, but the Siwash Lake Ranch in British Columbia Canada is as close to a historical cowboy adventure as you can get. The Siwash Lake Ranch is comprised of ranch-house style suites and Canvas Cabins – quaintly named as they are actually luxury tents that overlook Siwash Lake itself. Take the opportunity to explore the 80,000 acres that make up the property on horseback or trekking on foot. For the adventurously inclined, learn wilderness survival skills, go mountain biking or kayaking.

3. Bamurru Plains
With no TV, internet or mobile phone access to distract you, you’ll have no choice but to surrender to a digital detox at Bamurru Plains, bedding down in your tent surrounded by the wilds of the floodplain. Well, tent is only half right: the rooms are constructed of three walls of (actually quite private) mesh, and they’re angled in a way that your discretion is preserved (although maybe keep your lights low when it’s dark). This is no normal camping experience, however: the lodge ensures a sound night’s sleep with super soft pillows and linens and one of the comfiest beds we encountered in Australia. No expense is spared on your comfort. And since your phone has been left in your bag, get social with other guests around the campfire or learn a thing or two about the wildlife of the Kakadu National Park from the incredibly knowledgeable guides who are well versed in the indigenous flora and fauna.
