Fasano Sao Paulo
Why we like it
- Fasano São Paulo is located in Jardins, São Paulo's most elegant neighbourhood, between Avenida Paulista and Faria Lima
- A wonderful spa is located on the top floor of the hotel
- A heated pool is located in the spa
- Other facilities include a fitness centre, Baretto (the number one bar in the world according to Wallpaper magazine) and a Lobby Bar
Restaurant Fasano serves cuisine inspired by the regions of Italy and is accepted as one of the finest in São Paulo, whilst Nonno Ruggero's chef Rogério Fasano's superb re-interpretation of the classic Italian Trattoria is a delight of the senses.
The Hotels you (Charlie Lockwood) selected were superb in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, what a pleasure it has been to stay in the Belmond Hotels, everyone was so helpful, and the Four Seasons in Buenos Aires was equally superb

The Fasano Hotel, owned by the Fasano family, is an exclusive hotel in São Paulo and well-known in Brazil for its exceptional cuisine. The family have for over a century created some of the best gourmet dining environments in the city.
Distinctly 1930s in style, the hotel's elegant architecture and classical detail meets modern contemporary design courtesy of famous names like Isay Weinfeld, Márcio Kogen and Philippe Starck.
The rooms are by Starck - from the layout to the choice of furniture. All are decked out with hardwood floors, Rodrigues chairs and Dali-esque, ear-shaped mirrors - dubbed 'ears that see'. The sumptuous king-sized beds are set at a slight incline to ensure they follow the horizon and maximise the view, which exemplifies the attention to detail on display throughout this wonderful hotel. All the rooms are stocked with Starck designed appliances, Havianas and marble bathrooms.
Best time to be there
Before you visit Brazil decide what you want to see: Brazil is a continental country, with large temperature variations from north to south. Visit the Pantanal from July to December, the Amazon Jungle from March to August, Rio de Janeiro from September to May and the Northeast year round.
