We loved Cambodia and learned a lot from the warm and engaged guides, Sothi and Huang. We were also surprised at how much we liked Beijing. Eric too was a fantastic guide and made us think of China and its place in the world differently.

The beautiful Chatra restaurant features glittering lamps suspended from the ceiling and serves excellent Khmer and French fare accompanied by nightly music and dance performances. The spacious rooms and suites are luxuriously decorated with handcrafted wooden furniture and balconies overlooking the lovely pool.The 39 rooms and suites are havens of space, privacy and comfort, each with a private balcony and views across the pool. The best time to travel would be during the dry season of October to March, avoiding the monsoon season of June to September. Temperatures remain fairly constant year round.
