Quebec and Ontario
Montreal and Quebec City are a fusion of centuries-old French and Anglophone influences that come together in a completely unique way.
Montreal has an extremely laidback feel which makes for perfect days strolling around the grand buildings of the old town with its more Anglophone edge, and the Francophone quarters representing the city's more modern side. It is one of the most artistically dynamic cities in North America, where galleries sit side-by-side with interesting shopping, music and street theatre.
The quickest way to reach Quebec City from Montreal is to take the freeway, but we recommend a slower route out to the Cantons de L'est, a little-known area of pretty towns, lakes and forests. Stay in a luxury B&B as you explore for yourselves Magog, Lake Brome, Lake-Mégantic and Lake-Memphrémagog.
If Montreal is the younger, edgier part of French-speaking Canada, then Quebec City would have you believe it's the historic, traditional and more serious cousin. It is full of winding cobbled streets, hidden squares and chateaux, and Montmorency Falls is just outside the city. Stay at The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, a symbol of the city and one of the most photographed hotels in the world.

We especially enjoyed Nita Lake Lodge, we found it very beautiful with a "relaxed" style. We had a wonderful room and perfect service by very helpful and friendly staff. We just loved this place; peaceful, and yet close to Whistlers.
