NEED TO KNOW

  • All suites and villas have outdoor spaces - terraces or private gardens - with private Jacuzzis
  • The Royal Palm is a unique secluded hideaway nestled in the lush highlands of tropical Santa Cruz Island in the heart of the Galápagos
  • Cuisine is based on an ever changing selection of classic to fusion menus, with a focus on local seafood, Asian-Ecuadorian, fusion and Latin tapas
  • The Royal Palm Health Club is the place to go for massages and health treatments
  • A lovely swimming pool is set in lush gardens
  • Other facilities include bars and lounges, a boutique, a fitness centre, tennis courts and the atmospheric lava tunnel (a natural tunnel created a million years ago and now fitted with walkways and lighting). Naturally, a wide range of island and inter-island tours are available too

THE HOTEL
Exclusive, spacious, and tastefully designed, the Royal Palm was built using local materials to ensure it complements the natural paradise around it.

With just 17 villas, Veranda Studios and suites dotted throughout a 500-acre property, it delivers a genuine sense of privacy and space. All are luxuriously appointed, with polished wooden floors, locally crafted furniture and colourful furnishings, which stand out against the neutral décor. In addition, they all have spacious terraces or private gardens enclosed by stone and adobe walls which curl in organic shapes around seating areas and private Jacuzzis.

Whether you choose to wander through spectacular grounds or go further afield to experience the fascinating wildlife of the Galápagos, The Royal Palm is the perfect base from which to explore. But when it's time to relax and enjoy the view, the restaurants, pool and spa are deceptively near at hand.

Please note that there will be some renovation works to the public areas of the hotel taking place between January and June 2012.

Guest Testimonial

Quite simply excellent. If I could say one thing it is that Egypt is the place to go right now, as there were virtually no tourists at some of the sights and that,I should think, is quite rare!
