Day 1 London / Yogyakarta
Maximise your time in Indonesia with an overnight flight from Heathrow to Yogyakarta, Java.

Day 2 Yogyakarta
After a long flight there is no better way to spend your first day than relaxing in the luxurious surrounds of Amanjiwo. Located in rural central Java, Amanjiwo is surrounded by lush forests, volcanoes, rice paddies, lakes and temples, and the spectacular 8th century Borobudur temple, the world’s largest Buddhist monument, is nearby.

Days 3 - 4 Yogyakarta
On one of your mornings here we highly recommend an early start to witness the stunning sunrise at Borobudur, the atmosphere is tranquil and as the sun emerges the structure appears to change colour. Java’s dramatic landscape is also ideal for trekking, whether up the steep flanks of Mt Merapi or into the lush Menoreh Hills, replete with villages, clove plantations and rice fields.
Amanjiwo | Meals: Breakfast

Day 5 Yogyakarta / Ubud
Today you will fly to Bali to head into the hills and the cultural hub of Ubud, an atmospheric little town that’s become known as the epicentre of Balinese arts. Amandari is your home for the next two nights and is the perfect base from which to explore.
Amandari | Meals: Breakfast

Day 6 Ubud
Today you can choose between venturing from village to village alongside the tiered rice fields by bike or foot, or learning about the historical background of Ubud seen at the many temples of the region. For those looking to unwind a visit to the beautifully located spa is a must.
Amandari | Meals: Breakfast

Day 7 Ubud / Manggis
Escape the bustle of the southern beaches with a four night stay on the east coast of the island. Amankila, or peaceful hill, perches on a cliff above a stretch of unspoilt private beach on the Lombok Strait.
Amankila | Meals: Breakfast

Days 8 – 10 Manggis
Over the next three days relax and enjoy the fabulous location by one of the three terraced pools, enjoy the spa treatment or descend to the beach where you can soak up the tropical sun from the comfort of a secluded bale.
Amankila | Meals: Breakfast

Day 11 Manggis / UK
If you can tear yourself away from this island paradise, board your flight back to the UK…though you might prefer to extend your stay with a visit to Amanwana, a luxurious hideaway amid a nature reserve on Moyo Island, just off Sumbawa’s coast.

Day 12 UK

April - October

Indonesia is located very close to the Equator which means you have 12 hours of daylight daily. It is a year round destination with the western monsoon bringing the wet season from October to April providing nice, warm temperatures and rain in the afternoon, perfect for a nap, especially with a twist of sea-breeze in the coastal areas. The eastern monsoon brings the drier weather from May to September, which is generally a more popular time to visit
