A family home that sleeps up to 16, Laragai sits on a 35,000 acre private working ranch in an area seeped in rich history. The views from the edge of an escarpment descending 3,000 feet are simply stupendous. Game drives by day or night bring you untold joys, including encounters with black and white rhinos. There are thousands of elephants in the vicinity too, along with lions, leopards and cheetahs. Picnics and guided bush walks compete with horse riding and mountain biking to maintain the excitement. Kenya's equatorial location ensures warm weather year round, though it can be cool at night and first thing in the morning. There are two rain seasons, the long rains occur from April to June and short rains from October to December. The rainfall is sometimes heavy and when it does come it often falls in the afternoons and evenings. The hottest period is from February to March and coldest in July to August.
