Weather

Kenya's equatorial location ensures warm weather year round, though it can be cool at night and first thing in the morning. There are two rain seasons, the long rains occur from April to June and short rains from October to December. The rainfall is sometimes heavy and when it does come it often falls in the afternoons and evenings. The hottest period is from February to March and coldest in July to August.

THE HOTEL
Il Moran is part of the family of Governors camps, and is located on the East bank of the Mara River in Southwest Kenya, right in the heart of the Masai Mara. This small and intimate camp is made up of ten tents in a forest, making it perfect for up close game viewing. The tents feature Victorian style baths and King Size beds, offering comfort and tranquillity. The camp offers a wide variety of activities including Hot Air Balloon safaris, Lake Victoria Day trips and Walking safaris. The camp also has a spa which offers a variety of treatments, ideal after a day on safari.
