Located deep inside one of Africa's most remote and untamed wildernesses, Samburu Intrepids offers the latest in exclusive camping. Run on rigorous eco-principles, the 27 luxurious en suite tents have large four-poster beds and classic safari furniture. You will overlook riverbanks rich with wildlife from your secluded personal veranda. Professionally led game drives allow you close encounters with rare animals, from reticulated giraffe to majestic Beisa oryx. There are also walking safaris, village tours and sedate camel rides, after which a dip in the oasis swimming pool refreshes the senses. Romantic sundowners and dinner under a canopy of stars bring the day to a memorable end.

Weather
Kenya's equatorial location ensures warm weather year round, though it can be cool at night and first thing in the morning. There are two rain seasons, the long rains occur from April to June and short rains from October to December. The rainfall is sometimes heavy and when it does come it often falls in the afternoons and evenings. The hottest period is from February to March and coldest in July to August.
