    The Great Namibian Journey

    Namibia, 16 Nights

    The Great Namibian Journey takes in the best of Namibia. Accommodation will be in a mixture of luxurious lodges and camps. The nights under canvas are spent in tents, comfortably furnished with bucket showers and separate flushing toilets.

    Day 1 - London/Windhoek

    Fly with British Airways overnight from London-Heathrow, via Johannesburg to Windhoek.

    Day 2 - Windhoek
    Upon arrival be met by an A&K representative and transfer to Olive Grove for the night.

    Days 3 to 4 - Sossusvlei

    From Windhoek, travel by vehicle approximately 380km to Kulala Tented Camp, enjoying awe-inspiring views of the mountains and the desert floor. Kulala Wilderness Camp is a ten tented camp where activities include nature walks and drives to scenic viewpoints. Set close to the enormous clay pan of Sossusvlei,  the camp is flanked by the famous red sand dunes that stand out starkly against the blue sky.

    Days 5 to 6 - Swakopmund

    Travel north-west via the Kuiseb Canyon to arrive at the Atlantic Coast at Walvis Bay. Here you will take a private cruise to see marine mammals. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure in Swakopmund where you will be staying at the Hansa Hotel, ideally situated within easy walking distance of town and the beach. The oldest hotel in Namibia the Hansa Hotel is an integral part of the town's heritage.

    Day 7 - Damaraland
    Travel 480km along the legendary Skeleton Coast to the contrasting Damaraland area. Activities include explorations on foot, by bike or 4x4 vehicle, tracking the unique desert-adapted elephant. Damaraland Camp accommodates guests in ten large en suite, adobe-style thatched units.

    Days 8 to 9 - Palmwag Concession

    Depart Damaraland Camp to the Palmwag Concession. Desert Rhino Camp has eight large Meru style tents. Activities include rhino tracking on foot or by vehicle.

    Days 10 to 11 - Etosha National Park

    Depart Palmwag and drive 220km to Etosha National Park for game viewing. Activities include walks, day and night drives where you may encounter lion, leopard, elephant and black rhino. Ongava Tented Camp has eight large comfortable walk-in tents.

    Days 12 to 14 - Skeleton Coast National Park

    Enjoy a scenic flight over dramatic desert landscapes to the exclusive Skeleton Coast Research Camp. Full-day explorations in 4x4 Land Rovers will take in the main sights. Also included are cultural visits to the remote villages of the Himba people.

    Day 15 - Windhoek
    Say farewell to the adventure as you return by air charter to Windhoek where you will overnight at Olive Grove.

    Day 16 - Windhoek/London

    Board your international flight to Johannesburg for your onward connection to London-Heathrow, arriving early the following day.
