weather

In a country as geographically diverse as Bolivia, local weather patterns vary greatly, however for most people the climate is generally cooler than they expect. In the highlands, the dry season is between May and October. In La Paz and Sucre, temperatures during the day are a pleasant 20º C. Uyuni and Potosi however, can be cold in the middle of the day, and temperatures drop below freezing at night. The Amazon average daytime temperature is 30-32º C with tropical rains on a daily basis (which increase in the wet season), while nights can cool down to 20º C.

Best time to be there

Being such a geographically diverse country the weather in Peru is determined both by altitude and season. May to October is the best time to travel although the Amazon area is hot and humid throughout the year.
