Libertador Lake Titicaca
Why we like it
- Superb views over Lake Titikaka
- Friendly and professional service
- With its own private dock, it is very easy to explore the lake
- Enjoy a refreshing coca sour at the Taquile bar
- Incredible sunrises over the lake
Dinner at Los Uros offers the chance to try traditional Peruvian dishes.
We can honestly say that the whole three weeks made for a tremendous and wonderful holiday. Not a day went by without us being surprised and impressed by new sights and wonders! All the pre planning and arrangements made by you worked out to perfection. We appreciate that this cannot happen without a great deal of focus and hard work on your part, and that of the whole team.

Set outside of Puno town itself and with spectacular views of Lake Titicaca, particularly at sunrise, the Libertador 'Isla Esteves' hotel is the perfect choice for an overnight in Puno. Stay in the smaller premier rooms or the larger Junior suite both with panoramic windows over looking the lake – east facing for sunrise or west facing for sunset. The hotel has a small outdoor pool and if you like to keep fit while you travel there is a small gym with views out to the lake.
The outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to relax with incredible views of Lake Titicaca. With the private dock making visits to Uros, Taquile and Amantani easily accessible. There is also a selection of walking trails from the hotel enabling you to explore the island. A quiet spot to stay and only a 10 minute drive from Puno so you can still explore this interesting city.
Best time to be there
Being such a geographically diverse country the weather in Peru is determined both by altitude and season. May to October is the best time to travel although the Amazon area is hot and humid throughout the year.
