Best time to be there
During our winter months, when the humidity is lower and the temperature more comfortable for sightseeing and exploration. However, the monsoon season of May to September should not be discounted for travel as the whole of Sri Lanka is bursting into lush greenery due to the rainfall showing you a side of this island not everyone sees.

Tangalle lies in the south of Sri Lanka and is known for its beaches. A popular excursion away from the beach is a visit to Mulkirigala Rock Temple. Dating back to the 2nd century B.C, the temple has been carved around a series of natural caves. The temple contains many statues of Buddha as well as some beautiful wall paintings.
