Lemala Mara North Serengeti
Why we like it
- A remote seasonal camp open 23rd June to the 31st October
- Located on the Mara River, Lemala Mara is the ultimate seasonal camp in the Serengeti
- Prime location for the migrating wildebeest and zebra in July to August
- Exceptional guides in the best game viewing area of the Northern Serengeti
- 11 luxury tents all en suite with running water and beautifully appointed furniture
- The camp can be booked on a private basis
A full day in the Serengeti in the specially designed safari vehicle was an incredible experience, being able to get close to the wildlife and away from the people.
Our travel consultant Robin was excellent; he was able to answer all our questions and gave us valuable guidance on what to take on our trip. Our travel documents arrived well in advance of our trip and Robin kept in touch right until the time of our departure. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Lemala Mara is an exceptional camp in a beautiful location offering a high quality safari experience with superb local guides. Through June, July and August the wildebeest continue moving through the area, crossing and re-crossing the Mara River before heading north towards the Masai Mara. The new high specification tents are some of the most spacious and comfortable seasonal tents in Tanzania. Each tent is fitted with 2 double beds or 1 king size leather bed, warm duvets, flush toilet, large safari shower, running water, 24-hour solar lighting complete with an outside lounger. The main area of the camp is a mess tent offering separate living and dining areas with a central bar area. In the evening, gather around the campfire for sundowners before dining under chandeliers hosted by the camp manager. House alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included at meal time.
