Venezuela holidays

Venezuela is a land of truly spectacular scenery, a country of extremes and contrasts. Nature has blessed Venezuela with diverse landscapes, from miles of beautiful Caribbean beaches to the Northern extremities of the Andes, from the low lying plains of Los Llanos to the rainforest of the Orinoco and Amazon basins.

Venezuela holidays with Abercrombie & Kent affords travellers the benefit of our often exclusive access to the people and places that make this country truly special.

Venezuela's Caribbean coast is a paradise of glorious white sandy beaches, lush forested slopes and idyllic isolated islands - and the relaxed centre of many holidays to this country.  Inland, Llanos is a wetland of slow rivers, vast plains and big horizons that are a haven for any wildlife enthusiast. During your Venezuela holiday, stay in one of the hatos, local farms converted into charming lodges, and go in search of giant anteater, anaconda, river dolphin, caiman, jaguar and a host of other species.

Venezuela's Amazon region and the Orinoco delta are home to indigenous Indians of many ethnic groups. Stay in jungle lodges, experience traditions unchanged for centuries and enrich your Venezuela holiday by learning about the incredible flora and fauna of this region.

The Gran Sabana is a land of surreal table mountains, 'tepuis', which rise abruptly from the grasslands and forests. Canaima National Park is home to some of the oldest land forms on earth including the world's highest waterfall, Angel Falls, the tepuis were created long before the continents drifted apart and it is easy to see how Conan Doyle derived inspiration from his 'Lost World' from them. Flying over such scenery during your holiday in Venezuela is quite simply awe inspiring.

Few parts of the world offer so much to discover, Venezuela holidays can offer the stunning archipelago of Los Roques National Park. Gran Roque, the largest of the island is the only village, the other islands are not overcrowded and retain their serenity and allure due to strict building regulations. With the number of visitors being restricted this is a diver's paradise, the ideal destination for a truly relaxing holiday in Venezuela.
