Discover a whole new side of Vietnam in this luxury resort and spa. Being 1650 meters above sea level means that Sapa's climate cooler than most of the country. You can make the most of the local Hill tribe market tours, trek the Fansipan Mountain or just borrow one of the hotels mountain bikes and go exploring. Being home to over 30 colourful tribes the landscapes are not only beautiful, but rich with culture.


Travel in style on the Victoria Express Train, its elegant carriages weave through Hanoi to Lao Cai on an 8.5 hour trip six times a week. Accommodating up to 52 passengers in its two luxury sleeping carriages, with 12 superior cabins and 2 deluxe cabins, all of which are air conditioned with large windows making it the perfect way to view the spectacular landscapes of North Vietnam.
Each of the 77 spacious rooms have their own private terrace and offer unparalleled views over Sapa Village, Mount Fansipan or the resorts exotic gardens. Each room has a calm mountain chalet atmosphere with traditional wood décor which blends effortlessly with its natural surroundings.

Best time to be there

Regional climate differences mean that there is no best time; try September to December to avoid the humidity in the north, December to April to miss the rains in the south and December to March is perfect for trips to the Central highlands. Catch the Trung Thu Moon festival in September or October for traditional lion and dragon dances.
