I’ve always found the travelling process exhilarating – from stepping on the plane, to feeling the sand between your toes on a sun-kissed island. I love to, and live to, travel.
After 12 years working in the travel industry and five years living abroad, I have ventured far and wide. I’ve relaxed on the palm-fringed banks of the River Nile and explored the vibrant markets of Sierra Leone, but the beach is where I always felt most at home
Nowadays, I’m lucky enough to be able to take my young family along with me. Experiencing the world together is a magical experience. Personally, I believe there is no better education than travelling the world.
What's your favourite destination?
This is prone to change daily, but currently I’m in love with Jamaica. It has a spirit like no other island. I love the beaches, the music, the food and, most of all, the people – they’re the real heart of the island
Which destination is top of your bucket list, and why?
Australia. I have friends living over there that I would love to visit. I can’t wait to soak up the stunning scenery and discover dramatic coastlines
How many languages do you speak?
Which five items do you always pack when travelling?
Sunglasses, power bank, headphones, insect repellent and a gripping holiday read
What's your top travel tip?
Stay local and be vocal! Avoid ubiquitous large chain shops and restaurants, instead choosing to spend your tourist currency locally. Don’t be afraid to speak to locals – they know the area better than any tour guide
