Two full days at leisure to explore Australia’s most vibrant city, beautiful beaches, glittering harbour and shops. Sydney is also a gourmet’s paradise, with countless restaurants. Alternatively take a scenic flight to the Blue Mountains to the west of the city.Day 5 - Sydney/Ayers Rock
The morning is free to enjoy a last look at Sydney. This afternoon board your flight to the rugged red heart of Australia, Ayers Rock. Arrive at Longitude 131, your accommodation for the next two nights overlooking the stunning monolith. Day 6 - Ayers Rock
Watch as the sun rises over Ayers Rock, while your guide explains the myths and legends of the indigenous people. Days 7 to 8- Ayers Rock/Daintree
This morning, fly to Cairns and transfer to Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest, your home for the next two nights. Time to relax and explore the lush rainforest that shelters this lodge in its riverside setting. Options include taking a boat cruise to snorkel or dive the Barrier Reef, try a rainforest safari in the adjacent National Park, take to the air in a balloon or helicopter, go fishing in the sea or estuary, birdwatch from a river cruise or take an Aboriginal guide to explore the Mossman Gorge National Park. Alternatively play golf on one of many courses or shop amongst the boutiques and arts and craft galleries of Port Douglas. For quieter moments, the Healing Waters Spa at Silky Oaks offers a full range of treatments. In the evening, delicious four-course meals are served in the atmospheric Treehouse restaurant. Even at night, the rainforest experience continues with night-walks to meet the nocturnal residents of the area, before relaxing into your own comfortable room.Day 9 - Daintree/Lizard Island
