    About Apoka Lodge

Apoka Lodge has an enviable location in the magical isolated park of Kidepo Valley. Without question to include this property on a Uganda itinerary will be a highlight. The staff are unassuming, caring and attentive, there are excellent guides, and the food on offer is incredible. Apoka Lodge has its own vegetable garden, which is needed due to its isolation but meal times will not disappoint and will give travellers a real feel of local and international cuisine. The main area has a seating area and a beautiful pool area to relax by in the midday sun and take away the dust of an African safari. There are ten expansive cottages with natural canvas walls surround a rocky kopje. With inside sitting rooms and private verandas there are plenty of places to relax, read and write letters. Big hand-hewn beds with soft duvets are draped with mosquito nets, hand-woven woollen carpets, extra large plush towels, and oversized dressing gown, Each room has its own ensuite bathroom with double sink and large tropical shower. Water is heated by solar power and there is plenty of it. All rooms have electric lights, power points.
