Embark on a royal adventure the moment you step through the grand stone gates to this remarkable 800-year-old castle. As a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World, Ireland’s first Forbes five-star and former home of the Guinnes family, this is exceptional luxury of the highest standard, with a proud, regal line.

George V of England visited Ashford Castle in 1905, and in his honour a special dining room was built, which still bears his name to this day. Prior to becoming George V, he was the Prince of Wales, and you can continue your association with royalty at The Princes of Wales Bar. Enjoy fine dining as the resident pianist plays softly in the background, complemented by an excellent selection of wines. Relax and enjoy the finest Irish hospitality with private tasting experiences available. Or, opt for a journey across the pond and try out Stanley’s, an authentic American diner. We recommend the Elvis sandwich.

It isn’t just the food though, as Ashford Castle has a lot more to offer on its 350-acre estate. Try your hand at royal pastimes such as falconry and horse riding, or choose more modern activities such as golf, cycling and kayaking.

You'll be royally spoilt for choice at Ashford Castle.
