Arrive Rabat

Enjoy a flight from the UK into Casablanca and transfer the short distance to the Moroccan capital of Rabat. Soak up some of the local sights on your journey from the airport to your hotel and then relax at Fairmont La Marina Rabat for the rest of your first day.

Rabat

Experience a city tour of the political capital which highlights Rabat's cultural influences and well-preserved relics of its Moorish past. This includes the 12th-century Hassan Tower, stunning Oudaya Kasbah that overlooks the Atlantic, its gate is one of the most beautiful surviving artefacts in the Moorish world. This tour concludes with exquisite dining and wine tasting at Chateau Roslane.

Meknes and Volublis

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Volubilis is the largest and most well-preserved Roman ruin in Morocco. Marvel at superb mosaic floors, including depictions of Orpheus charming animals with his lyre, nine dolphins signifying good luck, and a portrait of Amphitrite in a chariot drawn by a seahorse. Head to Meknes, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco to views its impressive city walls.

Fes

Step back in time at Fez El Bali, the largest living medieval medina-city with 9,000 labyrinth-like lanes, alleys, and souks. Discover the Attarine Medersa, Nejjarine Square and the Fondouq (Caravanserai) - now a museum of carpentry artefacts. Finish the day with a pottery factory to see how zellij tiles are made.

Fes

Return to the Middle Ages with one of the most imperial, timeless and untouched cities in the world, Fes El Bali (Old Fes) – the cultural heart of Morocco. Renowned also as a culinary sensation, the promenade in the souks highlights many specialities from fresh vegetable and fruits to diverse herbs, intriguing spices, fresh honey, dried beef (khlea), and traditional bread that has been cooked the same way for thousands of years.

Fes - Tangier

Take the journey to Tangier, a gorgeous city that dominates the north of Morocco widely known as the gateway to Europe. Appealing and cosmopolitan, with mixtures of Moroccan, African and European influences, it is a melting pot of cultures. Henri Matisse named it a "Painter's Paradise" and several foreign artists such as Paul Bowles, Truman Capote and William Burroughs fell in love with the city and chose it as their home.

Asilah

Begin at Perdicaris Park: a beautiful green haven between the sea and mountains. Next, head to Cape Spartel which rises to 326 metres above sea level. Near Cape Spartel is Spartel Bank, where some say the legendary underwater city of Atlantis is found. End with a guided tour of Asilah, a Portuguese coastal town built in the 15th and 16th century.
