About Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Once the 16th-century home of Francisco Pizarro, the Spanish conqueror of Peru, Palacio del Inka is steeped in history. Today its statement design oozes Iberian style; authentic portraits, huge rugs, handsome stone arches and cobbled courtyards. In terms of size, the hotel is spread over a number of buildings. In terms of location, it couldn’t be better – a mere five-minute meander to the main square.

Rooms continue with parador glamour – deep sinking beds, gold trimmed headboards, brass lamps and floral artistry. All this along with the usual mod-cons such as iPod docking systems.

Head to the bar for a pisco-making lesson and dine in the restaurant overlooking the courtyard. Expect upscale Peruvian dishes accompanied by wine selected by the resident sommelier.

Relax in the subterranean spa with a state of the art hydrotherapy pool, several treatment rooms, a sauna and a spa. Note the gym – a rarity in Cusco.
