Best time to be there
The mainland and islands are very hot and dry in July and especially August, the preferred travel month for French, Italian and Spanish holiday makers, making conditions busy, hotel availability limited and the beaches crowded. May, June and September are infinitely more comfortable and generally less expensive.
Rhodes, with its refreshing westerly winds and moderate summer heat, makes it the ideal place to travel for a summer holiday or a short break in the spring or Autumn.

GREECE WITH A&KIt's the type of local knowledge that tops off a glorious day. So glorious you had to tell us about it. After a hot afternoon touring Mykonos with its sun-pickled white architecture and 16th century windmills, you needed a drink. More precisely you needed a cocktail. The island was teeming but the A&K guide weaved our party through the throng towards the sunset hotspot of Little Venice, where the perfect waterfront table with the perfect sunset view had been kept free. Your sundowner was served.

I want to thank you for sending along such interesting and passionate subject matter experts; Jean Jac and Wilbert. Both had amazing depths of knowledge about Macchu Picchu, Peru and the Incas. We learned a tremendous amount from both of them!

The notion of a peak season is usually a function of weather and school holidays, often meaning an increase in hotel rates and airfares. However, at A&K we are big fans of the so-called 'shoulder' season. Here are a few great reasons to get packing this Spring.
