Containing what some claim are the best handicrafts in the country, Oaxaca boasts innumerable markets and specialty shops that offer unique creations and an astounding range of jewelry shops.

Valles Centrales
This collection of valleys contains a plethora of small villages and pre-Columbian ruins.  While providing great opportunities for day trips, the countryside is in itself something of wonder!  With the world's oldest living organism and numerous quaint villages along the way, Oaxaca's central valleys are indeed a must see anytime of year.
